On Friday, October 2, the magnificent Palazzo delle Papesse will host the fifth edition of this highly anticipated event organized by the Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino. The undisputed star of the evening is the Rosso di Montalcino, celebrated as the most versatile, contemporary, and immediate expression of the renowned wine denomination. Designed to engage a wider audience, this dynamic format seamlessly blends exceptional Tuscan enogastronomy with music, culture, and pure conviviality.
“With its debut in Siena, Red Montalcino embarks on a new phase of its journey,” explains Giacomo Bartolommei, President of the Consorzio. This strategic move is a core part of a fresh promotional plan designed to pair traditional Montalcino-based activities with dynamic events capable of reaching new audiences in entirely different contexts. Bartolommei emphasizes that the Italian market remains central to this vision. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the bond with modern consumers and elevate the profile of an approachable wine that perfectly complements diverse lifestyles and consumption moments. The event promises a rich, sensory-driven schedule tailored for both industry professionals and casual enthusiasts. The afternoon begins at 3:00 PM with an exclusive walk-around tasting featuring 62 producers, initially reserved for wine sector operators and the local press. From 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the tasting tables will open their doors to the public with a ticketed entry, allowing attendees to explore the diverse expressions and terroirs of Rosso di Montalcino.
As the evening transitions, the collective wine bar opens at 8:00 PM, with professional sommeliers serving the celebrated red by the glass. Simultaneously, from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM, a dedicated food area will activate, offering a curated selection of local Tuscan culinary specialties alongside innovative fusion and vegetarian options. The celebration will conclude with an energetic DJ set in the breathtaking courtyard of the Palazzo, running from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
